STAUNTON, Va. - The Mary Baldwin baseball team lost to Methodist, completing the three-game series and losing by a score of 17-2.
The Squirrels took the lead early when they scored their two runs in the first inning. Noah Kessler and Josh Lallo each singled and Dylan Rankin was hit byy a pitch to load the bases. Kessler was out at home when he tried to score on a wild pitch, but Tyler Morley followed with a two-run single for a 2-0 Squirrels' lead.
Methodist took control with a five-run fifth inning and pulled aay for the victory.
For the Squirrels, Tyler Morley went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and Noah Kessler went 2-for-4 on the day.
MBU will return to action when they travel Tuesday, April 4, to play Hampden-Sydney at 3:30 p.m.
