STAUNTON, Va. - Mary Baldwin dropped its women's tennis conference match Saturday to Pfeiffer, 8-1.
Kelsey Bantel picked up the lone point for the Squirrels, winning her match in split sets at No. 5 singles. After splitting the first two sets, Bantel won the third set tiebreaker 10-7 to take the point.
MBU played two solid matches in doubles with Katlyn Massie and Lauren Hodgkins falling 8-4 at the No. 2 slot while Bantel and Liz Wine came up short at No. 3 doubles, falling 8-5.
On Firday, the Squirrels dropped a home match to N.C. Wesleyan 9-0.
