
Methodist completed a three-game sweep in its series vs. Mary Baldwin with a 16-6 victory over the Squirrels Sunday afternoon.
Methodist jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings and led the rest of the way.
Tucker Hensley put the Squirrels on the board with a run-scoring single in the third inning and Chase Davis drove home a run with a single in the fifth.
MBU scored its final three runs in the eighth inning. Tyler Smith hit his first career homer, a solo shot with one out. Michael Robertson walked and scored on a double by Noah Kessler. Kessler then scored on a single by Hensley.
Hensley led the offense with a 3-for-5 day at the plate and two RBIs. Robertson and Kessler each added two hits.
