ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Mary Baldwin dropped the series opener Saturday to N.C. Wesleyan, 10-0.
The Fighting Squirrels were held to just five hits in the contest, one each by Noah Kessler, Tucker Hensley, Jared Mayhew, Ty Webster and Michael Barber.
Joseph Castrilli turned in a strong relief appearance, allowing no runs on two hits on 2.1 innings on the mound. Freshman lefty Bradley Warren pitched one scoreelss inning, his sixt straight appearnace without allowing a run - a span of 8.1 innings.
The teams will conclude the series with a Sunday doubleheader.
