MBU men's soccer goalkeepers Tucker Speak and Justin Almond shared time in goal during the past week and Monday the two shared recognition from the conference office.

Speak was named the USA South Rookie of the Week and Almond received the USA South Defensive Player of the Week after the Squirrels finished 1-0-1 in two games.

Speak got the start midweek at Bridgewater and recorded 10 saves to post a shutout as the Squirrels battled the Eagles to a 0-0 tie.

Almond started on the weekend against Ferrum and recorded a shutout as MBU edged Ferrum 1-0. Almond finished the contest with seven saves.
