St. Mary's Scores In Second Half to Defeat MBU

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.. - St. Mary's scored on the fourth minute of the second half Tuesday afternoon to snap a 0-0 tie and the hosts went on to defeat Mary Baldwin 3-0 in non-conference men's soccer action.

Despite being outshot 12-1 in the first half, Mary Baldwin was tied at the break as keeper Tucker Speak posted seven saves in the first half.

Jason Caro's early second-half goal snapped the scoreless tie and St, Mary's added two more goals to complete the 3-0 victory.

MBU freshman Yefferson Hernandez had the Squirrels' lone shot on goal. Speak finished the contest with 11 saves.

Mary Baldwin returns to action Sept. 27 when the Squirrels host Division I Virginia Military Institute.
