GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mary Baldwin University men's tennis team competed in its first-ever varsity competition on Saturday in a 9-0 defeat at Guilford.
The Fighting Squirrels began as a club team last season before rising to the varsity level this season and being a part of the USA South.
The Quakers swept all three doubles contests 8-0 and claimed five of the six singles matches by a 6-0, 6-0 count as well.
The Fighting Squirrels return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 25, as they open their home schedule against Chowan at 3 pm.
