STAUNTON, Va. - The Mary Baldwin men's tennis team dropped its spring opener Saturday morning, falling to William Peace, 7-2, in non-conference action.

The Fighting Squirrels picked up a point in doubles play when Eric Leyton and Connor Lindhjem won their match at No. 1 by  score of 8-4.

Leyton then picked up MBU's lone singles win when he rolled past Daniel Hidalgo in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

MBU, now 0-3, returns to action Sunday when the team travels to the University of Lynchburg.
