
Ferrum, VA - The Mary Baldwin College basketball team concluded their season this afternoon with a loss to Ferrum College 39-90.
The Panthers jumped out to a 22-10 lead in the first quarter and led by as much as 51 points. Ferrum controlled the paint scoring 44 points from close range while shooting 46.7%. The home team also controlled the boards and shot over 80% from the charity stripe.
Zarkia Mattox led Ferrum's balanced scoring attack with 16 points. She was followed closely by Erin March and Kemani Crawford who tallied 14 points each. Crawford and Maggie Wilbourne grabbed 10 rebounds each.
Kaybria Johnson led Mary Baldwin with 12 points. She was followed closely by Rakeema Willis who added 10. Teanna Peavy and Juanaysa Singletary grabbed 4 rebounds each.
Mary Baldwin College finishes the season 0-24 (0-15 USAS).
