
Rocky Mount, NC - The NC Wesleyan Women's basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Mary Baldwin 99-60 this afternoon in USA South action.
The Battling Bishops jumped out to a 26-12 lead after the first quarter and built a 30 point lead in the first half. In 40 minutes of play, NC Wesleyan shot over 50% from the floor and outrebounded Mary Baldwin 59-33. The home team scored 52 points in the paint to Mary Baldwin's 10.
NC Wesleyan's balanced attack was led by Jermalyah Baker who tallied 20 points shooting an impressive 10 for 14 from the floor. Daljah Davis followed with 15 points while Timyra Staton and Nadiya Holley added 14 points each. Raelin Davis and Staton grabbed 8 rebounds each.
Kaybria Johnson and Juanaysa Singletary led Mary Baldwin with 23 points each. Rakeema Willis added 7. Teanna Peavy tallied 7 rebounds for Mary Baldwin.
Mary Baldiwn College 0-21 (0-12 USAS) continues the road trip on Sunday taking on William Peace at 2:00pm.
