BRIDGEWATER, VA - Bridgewater College defeated Mary Baldwin University in women's basketball 81-36 this evening in a non-conference matchup.

The Eagles jumped out to a 24-10 lead in the first quarter with a full court press that created some easy baskets for the home team.  Bridgewater continued the pressure in the second quarter and held a 41-22 lead at the half. 

Mary Baldwin struggled offensively, going 0-11 from behind the arc and 26% from the floor while Bridgewater shot 45% from the floor.  The Eagles also controlled the boards outrebounding Mary Baldwin 49-30.

Nicole Blackburn led Mary Baldwin with 13 points.  Aayana Nedd added 11.  Blackburn and Khai Davidson tallied 7 rebounds each. 

Jessica Lam led Bridgewater with 24 points.

Mary Baldwin University, 1-5, host Roanoke College on Saturday at 2pm.
