Mary Baldwin University guard Jalen Gathers has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Player of the Week following her double-double performance in a victory over Pfeiffer.

Gathers poured in 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the Fighting Squirrels' 87-59 win over the Falcons. Gathers made 8-of-12 shots from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. She pulled down all 16 rebounds at the defensive end, leading MBU to a dominant 60-41 edge on the boards. Gathers also dished out four assists and added three steals.
