Mary Baldwin was picked eighth in the USA South Preseason Women's Basketball Poll released Thursday.

Greensboro received seven first-place votes to top the poll. Southern Virginia picked up the remaining three first-place votes to rank second in the poll.

Mary Baldwin posted a 16-10 overall record and an 11-7 conference mark a year ago. The Squirrels return two players from the 2021-22 roster to start the upcoming season.

MBU tips off the 2022-23 campaign on Nov. 8 with a trip to nearby Bridgewater College.
