
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C - The Mary Baldwin women's basketball team lost Thursday evening in conference action, falling to Methodist University 65-41.
Methodist University jumped out to a 16-5 first-quarter lead Saturday afternoon and kept the pace to go into the half up 33–12
However, the Squirrels finished the game strong, outscoring the hosts in the fourth quarter 19-16 on 42.9% (6-of-14) from the field and 1-of-1 from three-point range.
Caroline Motley led the Fighting Squirrels with 12 points and Codie Heilig added 10.
The Squirrels will return to action Friday to conclude the back-to-back conference road games, playing at N.C. Wesleyan at 5:00 pm
