ROCKY MOUNT, N.C - The Mary Baldwin women's basketball team lost Friday evening in conference action, falling to North Carolina Wesleyan University 77-44.

The Squirrels kept it close, tailing 20-15 after one quarter, but turnover problems by MBU helped the home team move out to a 39-27 halftime lead.

Gianna Gilmore led the Fighting Squirrels with 12 points shooting 3-for-8 from the field and 2-for-4 from three. Mekayla Clarke tallied 10 points with two assists.

The Squirrels will return to action on December 30 to play Eastern Mennonite University in Staunton in non-conference action at 2:00 pm.
