MBU, WildCats Play To 1-1 Tie

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Mary Baldwin and Randolph College batted to a 1-1 tie Tuesday evening in non-conference women's soccer action.

The Fighting Squirrels scored in the 28th minute when Teya Baptista found the back of the net after taking a pass from Quierra Hawkins.

MBU held the lead until the 84th minute when the WildCats tallied the tying goal.

Randolph held a 10-5 edge in total shots and each team finished with six corners.

MBU keeper Nyasia Hawkins posted three saves for the Squirrels.

Mary Baldwin, now 2-0-1, returns to action this weekend with home games Saturday with Regent and Sunday against Berry.
