 Women Soccer Slips Past Eastern Mennonite

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Mary Baldwin women's soccer team improved to 5-1-1 on the season with a 3-2 victory Saturday over Eastern Mennonite University.

Royals' sophomore Amiah Carter scored one minute into the game before the Squirrels answered with a goal by junior midfielder Shea Rider off a pass from senior Sam Manfre at the twelve minute mark. Brenna Kehoe scored an unassisted goal to send the Squirrels to the half up 2-1.

The Squirrels came out of the half strong with a goal in the 63rd minute by junior Sydney Kirkpatrick off a pass from freshman Vanessa Alfaro-Young. The Royals scored with eight minutes left to end the game with the score 3-2.

Mary Baldwin held an slight edge in shots with 15-12 and corners 3-2.

Mary Baldwin returns to action Tuesday Afternoon at 3:00 p.m. when the Squirrels will be hosting Roanoke (2-3).
