RALEIGH, N.C. - Mary Baldwin's women's tennis team took an impressive 7-2 victory over William Peace on Sunday for the team's second win of the season.
The Squirrels swept doubles action to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
Katlyn Massie and Gretchen Lutz battled to an 8-7 win at the No. 1 position, winning the tiebreaker, 6-0.
Hannah Eastrdige and Virani Bhagat at No. 2 and Kelsey Bantel and Lauren Hodgkins at No. 3 doubles cruised to 8-0 victories in their matches.
The Squirrels dominated the lower part of the singles ladder, winning positions 3 through 6 to close out the match.
Eastridge lost just one game at No. 3 singles while Bhagat lost just two games to win at No. 4. Hodgkins won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 while Bantel blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 to take the win at No. 6.
