FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Mary Baldwin women's tennis team closed out its regular season with a 9-0 loss Friday at Methodist University.

Hannah Eastridge at No. 2 singles, Liz Wine at No. 5 and Lauren Byrnes at No. 6 turned in the best efforts of the day, each losing by scores of 6-3, 6-0.

MBU finished the season in sixth place in the regular season standings and will play in the opening round of the USA South conference tournament on Tuesday at Southern Virginia, beginning at 4 p.m. SVU won the regular season matchup, defeating the Fighting Squirrels, 9-0.
