STAUNTON, Va. – The Mary Baldwin University women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-22) to Roanoke in nonconference action on Thursday night.

Deborah Black led the way for MBU with seven kills, while Michaela Beverly finished with six. Emma Tomlinson totaled 18 assists, while Rachel Christian paced the team with 14 digs. Brittany Sharon and Madison Cash each finished with 12 digs as well.

Olivia Modlin totaled five block assists to go along with a pair of kills in the loss.

Linsey Bailey led the game with 10 kills while Keely Scott dropped in eight kills on .294 hitting. Logan Pasley finished with 12 assists and Avery Wolff added eight. Kennedy Clemmer led the game with 19 digs in the victory.

The Fighting Squirrels are back in action in the PAC on Saturday, Oct. 12, in a USA South Tri-Match featuring N..C Wesleyan and Pfeiffer. MBU plays at 12 pm and 4 pm with the Battling Bishops and Falcons playing at 2 pm.
