
STAUNTON, Va, - The Mary Baldwin University women's volleyball lost Friday night, falling in three tough sets (15-25, 22-25, 23-25) to N.C Wesleyan University in conference Volleyball action.
The Fighting Squirrels rallied in the second and the third sets, being led offensively by freshman Leah Sherrill with nine kills. Defensively sophomore Soleil Rios Rolon tallied a team-high 15 digs.
N.C Wesleyan's Emily Foraker got five blocks and six kills for the Bishops, stopping the Squirrels' momentum.
The Fighting Squirrels return to action Saturday (Oct 8th) in Staunton to host a tri-match against William Peace and Greensboro in USA South Conference action.
