
BUENA VISTA, VA, - The Mary Baldwin University women's volleyball lost Tuesday night, falling in three sets (7-25, 12-25, 6-25) to Southern Virginia in USA South conference volleyball action.
The Fighting Squirrels were led offensively by freshman Leah Sherrill and senior Rachel Christian with three kills each, while defensively junior Savannah Figueroa tallied a team-high eight digs.
Southern Virginia's Courtney Pinkston got 10 kills for the Knights and Emma Steiger tallied 13 digs.
The Fighting Squirrels return to action Saturday (Oct 15) at Methodist to play in a tri-match with Methodist and Salem in USA South Conference action.
