MBU Volleyball Wraps Up 2022 Season

GREENSBORO. NC – The Mary Baldwin volleyball team wrapped up its season with two losses, falling in three sets to both Greensboro College and William Peace University.

In the first match against Greensboro, the Squirrels came back from being down 21-24 in the first set to even it up at 24-24 before falling 26-24.

Mary Baldwin fell in three sets in the second match to William Peace, but not without considerable effort from senior Rachel Christian, who tallied a team-high nine kills, and teammate Megan Andrews with six kills.  Soleil Rios Rolon had nine digs in both the Greensboro and the William Peace games to help defensively for the Squirrels.

The contest was the final match for MBU seniors Rachel Christian and Abby Adams. The Squirrels finished their season with a  2-30 overall record and a 1-17 conference mark.. Christian became the third student-athlete in MBU volleyball history to reach the 1,000 career kill mark.
