Jody (Jordan) Lohr joined Mary Baldwin University volleyball program in January 2019 and was named head coach in July 2021.

Jody hasa Bachelors Degree in computer science from Eastern Mennonite University and a Masters Degree in instructional technology from UVA.

Lohr comes to MBU with 10 years of coaching experience from Grace Christian. He has been the program coordinator and varsity volleyball coach for the last six years. During that time, Grace Christian was VACA Regional Champions four times, placed third twice and made the championship game once in the VACA state tournaments.

While coaching for Grace Christian, Lohr has also worked with two volleyball clubs in the area. After coaching three years for Augusta Juniors coaching 14s, 15s, and 16s, he started a new club at ACTSports in 2016 with two teams. Lohr, currently operating as the Director of ACTSports Juniors, has helped grow this program to ten teams in three years.

Lohr is also the Director of Technology for Waynesboro City Schools.

When he’s not coaching volleyball, Lohr spends time with his wife Joy, son Jackson, daughter Jordan and her husband John and his grandson, Daniel.
