Mary Baldwin competes in Bridgewater XC Challenge

BRIDGEWATER, VA.- The Mary Baldwin men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Bridgewater College for the Bridgewater XC Challenge, which took place Friday afternoon.

For the women, James Madison took first place in the event with 15 points, while Washington and Lee finished second with 62 points and Eastern Mennonite finished third with 110 points.

Laura Webb of James Madison University was the individual winner after completed the course in 14:49.9.

Morgan Laferte was the first finisher for MBU and ran a time of 19:43.9, Briana Parker finished with a time of 19:47.7, Josephina Reeder finished with a time of 20:39.3, while Katelyn Pollock finished with a time of 20:45.5, and rounding out the top five for MBU was Brittney Fenner who finished with a time of 30:07.4.

The men only had two runners competing, Parker Moore who finished with a time of 24:07.6 and Justice Waller who finished with a time of 26:28.1.

Mary Baldwin returns to action on September 6, at the EMU Mennonite Heritage Cross Country Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
