SALEM, Va. - The Mary Baldwin cross country teams competed Friday at the Roanoke Rooney Invitational hosted by Roanoke College.
The MBU men placed sixth in the event, led by first-year runner Jake English with a time of 19:36.5, good for 27th place. Brendan Plogger was next across the line in 31st with a time of 19:53.3. Rounding out the scoring for the Squirrels were Connor Hockman in 38th (21:19.6), Din Rayche in 40th (21:36.4) and Christopher Kirksey in 45th place (23:06.0).
Four MBU women ran as individuals at the meet with Alyssa Eppeson leading the way with a time of 24:03.3 in 23rd place. Cloey Mazingo was next in 28th with a time of 24:36.4. Johannah Dillaway crossed the line in 32nd with a time of 25:25.1 while Brianna Parker placed 36th with a time of 26:44.5.
