ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Mary Baldwin cross country team wrapped up the season Saturday morning at the USA South Championships on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan with the women placing fourth and the men seventh.
Alysssa Epperson paced the MBU women, completing the 6K course with a time of 27:44.7 to place 27th overall.
Johannah Dillworth was next for the Fighting Squirrels, placing 31st with a time of 28:50.7, just ahead of teammate Cloey Mazingo in 35th place with a time of 29:09.8. Brianna Parker was the next finisher with a time of 28:34.7, good for 37th overall. Anastasia Bunting completed the scoring for MBU, running a time of 31:12.1 to finish 40th overall.
In the men's 8K event, Brenden Plogger led the way for MBU, placing 30th with a time of 30:59.6. Christpher Kirksey turned in a solid effort as MBU's second finisher with a time of 34:51.7 in 39th place. Connor Hockman finished 42nd with a time of 35:43.1 and Jake English finished 47th with a time of 39:59.0. Din Rayche rounded out te MBU scoring, finishing 49th with a time of40:54.4.
