Jordan Miller then hit a sacrifice fly at the bottom of the 6th inning to score the winning run for Mary Baldwin.  The Fighting Squirrels then held the visitors scoreless in the final inning.

Heather Mayes pitched for Mary Baldwin in the the first game while Courtney Gordon held the mound in the final game.

Afterwards, Head Coach Christy Shelton said, "In the first game we left a lot of runners on the bases and couldn't get the hits we needed to score.  In the second game, we put a complete game together.  We had some key hits and bunts at crucial times that allowed us to score.  We also played good defense to hold on for the win.  Both pitchers did a fantastic job.  I am extremely proud of each and every one of the players."
